Her extensive training allows her to be proficient in sub-specialized treatments of TMJ (temporomandibular joint) dysfunction with the application of intra-oral therapy, as well as scar remodeling by post-surgical frictioning, myofascial release techniques and trigger point therapy.
In January 2012 Angela added a new modality into her massage therapy practice. Energy within the body has always fascinated her, so she decided to get certified for Reiki level 1. Reiki is an alternative touch therapy believed to be founded in Tibet and later introduced in Japan. It is a form of meditation that is used to treat physical and mental ailments. In English reiki means universal life energy. The practitioner uses light touch to channel energy to the recipient. Reiki works on a physical, mental, and emotional level by restoring the lost balance between mind, body and spirit. She actively incorporates techniques learned from reiki into her massage therapy practice.
Angela is most recently training in Rapid NeuroFascial Reset to further address pain management with patients. RAPID NeuroFascial Reset, is an active therapeutic technique that addresses the central nervous system's role in alleviating tension and restrictions within the body.
